About the coffee:We first met Tamiru Tadesse in Houston at the Specialty Coffee Expo. What was initially a short conversion in passing eventually turned into a coffee partnership.Tamiru produces some of the finest Ethiopian coffees you’ll ever taste. In 2021, one of his first years of producing coffee at his home village of Alo in Bensa, he won 1st Place in Ethiopia’s Cup of Excellence.A little more rare, a red honey process coffee from Sidama. Tamiru really knocked it out of the park with this one. Of all 10+ lots we cupped from this year’s harvest, this coffee stood out head and shoulders above the rest.Super well balanced, there’s notes of raspberry, clementine, followed up by some nice florals like hibiscus and rose petal. The tea like finish lingers nicely for a while after drinking.
