Detailed information on Land of Aloha Royal Dress

This is one of the most famous aloha shirt patterns, originally made famous by the HALE HAWAII company in the early 1950s. Recently brought to prominence as the pattern worn by Anthony Bourdain.

This color way is original to Kona Bay Hawaii.

This dress is loose and flared below the bust line.

1950年代初めの「HALE　HAWAII」社の復刻。このランドオブアロハはアロハシャツでは古典、また王道の柄である。

モチーフはハワイアナ。女性がレイを用意し出迎えるシーン、カメハメハ大王、ウクレレ、魚、植物、フルーツなど。ハワイの生活がふんだんに取り入れている。楽しさが伝わってくる柄で、賑やかだ。

復刻に関しては、ホノルルの「ベーリーズアンティーク」からぜひやって欲しいとリクエストがあった。「ANTHONY BOURDAIN」というアメリカで超有名なコメディアンが、ベーリーズを訪れた際に、そのオリジナルヴィンテージランドオブアロハを、2000ドルで購入した。トラベルチャンネルというテレビ局が、その模様を放送した。その放送はYOUTUBEに流され、ベーリーズにはこのシャツを求めて客がやってきたのだ。それが10年ほど前。残念ながら今年ANTHONY BOURDAINは亡くなってしまった。

この配色は僕が付けたオリジナルである。ロイヤルをグランドに黄色、緑、グレーなど8色使っている。威風堂々の雰囲気である。
