A delicately engraved solid Gold Edwardian hinged bangle set with a graduated row of deep pink–red Rubies, alternating with small bright Diamonds and centred with a Garnet.The bangle is finished in buttery bright yellow Gold with fine foliate and starburst engravings; an ornate, romantic design that sits elegantly on the wrist.

MEASUREMENTS: Bangle inner circumference is 7\" (18cm).Bangle graduates from 8mm wide at the front to 4mm wide at the back.Rubies graduate from 2.5mm long x 3.5mm wide to 3.5mm long x 4.5mm wide.Central Garnet is 4mm long x 3.5mm wide.Diamonds are 2mm in diameter.WEIGHT: 10.2g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold, Ruby, Diamond, Garnet (central stone a later replacement).HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

Condition:

VERY GOOD: The Rubies, Diamonds and replacement central Garnet are securely seated with minimal facet wear. The bangle shows light surface scratches and mild patina in engraved recesses consistent with gentle wear; the hinge, box clasp and safety chain are functional with no visible repairs.
