The Linda Farrow company has forged it\'s niche { and let\'s be clear for the casual browsers, that niche is not in the high end definition that many people have, in the over £300 range, it is comfortably twice that much } via a persistent programme of collaborations since somewhat before the collab/celebrity endorsement gimmick became so mainstream. The people that Farrow collaborate with are professional designers, not people who knock different shaped balls around or do vocals on annoying songs they didn\'t even write. Those designers have included Jeremy Scott, Alexander Wang, Phillip Lim, Dries Van Noten, Erdem, Matthew Williamson, The Row etc etc and Charles Anastase is one of them. There is not massive amounts of press on the subject but certainly there is the sense that it\'s the kind of thing that they invite designers on the basis of, \'would you like to see yourself in this hall of fame alongside peers who were sensible enough to accept\'. And consequently it manifests itself as a passion project in which they can on some level, be released from the constraints of the commercial essentials of their regular day job. As a result they are produced in quantities that are too small to warrant normal model codes. And how ably these magnificent glasses prove my points. Drawing upon the chic allure of classical 60s designs with this densely luxurious tall armed frame that has then added majestic swans instead of vulgar logos, that are different colours on either side; pure white on the left and cream on the right.
