To pick up dry messes, just fit the cartridge filter and dry filter bag onto the vacuum for high levels of dust containment. To pick up liquids, remove the filter bag and cartridge filter, and place the foam fitted sleeve over the motor instead. This will protect the life of the motor and the vacuum itself. (Remember to use the proper filters for this vacuum. Otherwise, you’ll void the warranty.)
