Each necklace is carefully crafted by hand, in our UK studio. Made from recycled Sterling Silver or gold, this Capybara Pendant supports sustainable craftsmanship while celebrating the beauty of nature. Capybaras help maintain wetland ecosystems in their native South America, by grazing on aquatic plants, which prevents overgrowth and supports biodiversity.

You might have seen images of capybaras relaxing in hot springs with an orange (or yuzu) on their heads. This tradition originates from the Izu Shaboten Zoo in Japan, where zookeepers offer the animals warm yuzu baths in the winter. The hot water and yuzu are believed to have a beneficial effect on their skin, especially during the cold winter months. So, if you\'d like your capybara jewelry with a little sparkling orange (aka a carneleon gem) on its head, just choose this option from the drop down.

For further personalisation, you can choose to have your capybara pendant engraved with up to three characters which we will place at the capy\'s flank.
