A George II period mahogany armchair.
English, 1750s.
The ball and claw feet supporting the acanthus carved leg, shaped apron, open armrests, pierced Chippendale influence back splat.
The carving is of a far superior than most with excellent patina and colour to the untouched surface, drop in horsehair filled seat pad in calico.
